Some concerns have been expressed about rumored closings of 2 Carefree restaurants. Here is accurate information from the sources.
News regarding Bodega 13 for Carefree Residents
Bodega 13 is opening a second location in North Scottsdale at Pima and Pinnacle Peak Roads – next to Mastros!
The new location will open September 1st.
However, many people have been asking about our Carefree location at Ho and Tom Darlington Roads.
Don’t worry. We will continue to operate in Carefree to serve our loyal customers and provide a great dining experience in Carefree.

Please note that we will be closed for vacation from July 3rd to July 11th. We will re-open on July 12th.

We are saying goodbye to Binkley's in Cave Creek this Saturday after several wonderful years. We are so excited for the reopening in the new Midtown location. Cafe Bink is sticking around to keep Kevin's influence in our community and, with your support, offer upcoming event dinners. Pass the word.

On a different note, Carefree Truth has a new website. When we began back in 2009, Carefree Truth was a way to get accurate public record information to the citizens of Carefree to combat the outrageous lies being told about Mayor David Schwan during the failed recall attempt. We assumed at the time that Carefree Truth would be retired after the recall election. However, it became popular and credible as an informative medium, so we continued to record and report on Council meetings, and added Letters from Readers, free ads for Carefree businesses, and info about local non profits and their events. We've been called "one stop shopping" for Carefree, and we enjoy producing it.
The original website was done using a basic iWeb program. It was not meant to host the approximately 2,000 pages it now contains. It finally reached it's very overextended limit a couple of weeks ago, so Herbert started a new one called www.carefreetruth2.com on which we are publishing all issues, videos, ads, and Letters since iWeb refused to take more. www.carefreetruth.com is still available, complete, if you type it into the Go line, and there is a link to it provided in carefreetruth2. We will keep carefreetruth active indefinitely so no history or information is lost.
