The next "Adult Day Care " meeting will be at 10 AM August 6 , 2019 in room 109 at the Desert Foothills Presbyterian Church.
Bonnie Yarger and Karen Camellia are working on a report on a "Dementia Friendly City" and may have it ready for our August 6 meeting.

Hi Lyn,
I don't know if you put out special notices but if so, Desert Foothills Theater needs young actors and actresses for our production of Pirates of Penzance, Jr. The age range is 10-18 and we're looking for strong singers. We had auditions last Saturday and Sunday but have the potential for only 14 cast members out of those auditions and we need at least 25.
We're holding more auditions this coming Saturday, August 3rd, at the Holland Center from 2-5 and call backs will be on Sunday at the same time. The first rehearsal, which will be a read-through, is Monday evening, the 5th, from 6-9.
I'm music directing and this is a great show; very funny and entertaining. Gives many kiddos the opportunity to show off their acting, comedic, and singing chops. There will be choreography but no heavy dance.
If you don't send out special notices, no worries. We're just trying to get the word out in every way that we can as the show must go on no matter what, and we need more pirates and daughters of the Major General. Lead roles have not been cast as of yet either as we're waiting until after auditions on Saturday to cast everything.
