John Crane has got a great sense of humor, and is very generous for wanting to help us out. I cut his radio segment so people could hear just John's part: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1dsr9AGP5E&t=88s. If you send out the John Crane segment this week, can you also post the day, time, and station that our show is on? Saturday, 7 - 8 a.m., AM 1060. We plan on talking up the town of Carefree quite often as well and would love it if residents would call the show. 602-260-1060. Also, since am1060 has a livestream, we have listeners in other states that tune in, since we are the only show in the country that exclusively covers junior college, NAIA, NCAA2 and 3 athletics, as well as talking local sports. In addition, we will be introducing a regular "pickle ball" feature!!

(Lyn's note: Vice Mayor John Crane and Councilman Vince D'Aliesio, who is a co-host of this radio sports show, did a very funny spoof pretending that Mayor Les Peterson was supposed to be the guest, but sent the Vice Mayor in his stead. Mayor Peterson had been the guest on the show, broadcast from the Black Mountain Coffee Shop, last spring when it was still a podcast. This was Vince and James' first broadcast since being accepted onto a regular radio station for their show. The show will air weekly on AM 1060 going forward. Congratulations to Vince and James!)

To answer your reader's questions: The View Carefree plans to have model homes open by the end of June 2020. The Hampton Inn estimates its opening to be in November 2020.
