(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. Here are the links to this week's Pictures of the Week. Enjoy!)

The master grid with all of the assignments for the Pumpkin Festival volunteers is now in the Town Hall on the bulletin board. If you have any free time, you can stop by to see what positions still need to be filled and feel free to sign yourself up. We appreciate your time and energy.

Phoenix Magazine Rates Carefree's Enchanted Pumpkin Garden voted BEST IN VALLEY for 2016!
Town of Carefree will host the 2nd annual Enchanted Pumpkin Garden, created by world renowned artist, Ray Villafane October 17 - 31. The pumpkins are still keeping time to the Carefree Sundial (which is the 3rd largest in the world) but 2016 will garner all new pumpkin Vignettes and even a little Pumpkin town that will take you back into time. Ray also is featuring his NEW Scarecrows that are handcrafted out of organic materials from the desert. Sponsors for the event will include Jelly Belly Candy, Bashas, Mortimer Farms, Toll Brothers, Carefree Conference Center, Russ Lyon Sothebys and of course APS who has supported Carefree events for many years. Let There Be Light will be donating some of their expertise to the displays! Pumpkin treats and cool pumpkin merchandise will also be available for purchase. Check out CarefreePumpkinGarden.com for details.

(Lyn's note: We were in the Gardens and Herbert was taking pics on Monday night. I sent them out to a bunch of friends locally and around the country. Here are some of the responses.)
Beautiful, makes me 'homesick'.
Larry Holland
Love the ones that look like they are walking.
Shirley Johnston
Looks terrific.
Kathy Riemer
Wonderful! Love these. Thank you.
Jane Ceasor
Love Ray’s art, the Gardens and Herbie's amazing photos!
Thx so much for sharing!
Patty Meese
I sent Gary Neiss an email thanking him for the Towns efforts to get this done for our subdivision. Looks like they are going to do a real engineered fix. That's a really good thing for Sentinel Rock.
Tony Geiger
(Lyn's note: Tony worked with the Town, representing Sentinel Rock, on the culvert issues.)
Thank you for getting this out so fast, Lyn.
Mike Wold
(Lyn's note: Mike runs "A Healing of Memories" for veterans, and they have added 1st responders this year. It's a wonderful program that has helped many. Mike has sent the posters/brochures, which are attached.)
