Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. Here are the links to this week's Pictures of the Week. Enjoy!

To the town of Care Free a BIG THANK YOU for another amazing Pumpkin Festival. Those of us living down below look forward to this event and this year did not disappoint.
The combination of unparalleled artistic talent as well as an extremely supportive and ENGAGED mayor and council really makes it work. The event is welcoming, fascinating and FUN!
To the Hitchons, thank you for your continuing coverage of the events. Photos and Videos are amazing and really capture the magic of the event. The calendars are such fun and are going to make great stocking stuffers.
Laurie Palace
(Lyn's note: A limited edition of 30 numbered calendars, signed by Ray Villafane, were printed. If you are interested in buying a 2018 calendar with photos from the 2016 Pumpkin Festival, there are still a few left, since the idea was born late and the calendars weren't available for sale until the last weekend of the Pumpkin Festival. You can email me if you'd like to buy a calendar for $20.)
Kudo's to everyone involved in making the pumpkin festival a great success.
It takes many people to achieve a success and I, as a resident thank them.
It seems though, there are two people who are part of every successful, and for that matter not so successful events. They are there for every event it seems, and I for one Carefree resident, thank Herb and Lyn Hitchon for all they do for this town. "THANK YOU HERB AND LYN".
Joe Corpora
Lyn, thank you so much for sending me the videos. They were absolutely wonderful. There are some amazing creations displayed! I love that everyone can come together and show their talents. The artists have given such a detailed, scary face to Halloween! I thoroughly enjoyed the videos. I look forward to the Christmas festival!
Have a great day,
Arlene Norton

Have you tried Lemon Drop Med. Restaurant? Looks delish! Am getting hunger pangs and drooling over the prospect. Can hardly wait to go!
Laurie Palace
(Lyn's note: Lemon Drop, formerly Carefree Bistro, is great! We love the Med. menu, and several of the old favorites remain on the new menu. George is still the owner and head chef, but he's assembled a new very professional and nice team to help him run and staff it. Eunice and her team are gone. They are now open for dinner 7 nights a week, for brunch on Saturday and Sunday, and will start opening for lunch in December.)
Good morning Lyn and Herbert,
It was very nice to meet you via Gina Kaegi yesterday afternoon! I adore Carefree living and hope to see you both again soon.
I appreciate the add to your Carefree Truth newsletter! It will keep me abreast of the town news!
Thank you!
