Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. (Lyn's note: Last weekend, our neighbor below called to tell Herbert there was a photo op on his property. This truck left the road and ran down a very steep slope into our neighbor's back yard. It was prevented by going farther by hitting big rocks. The driver and any passengers abandoned the vehicle. Here are photos from our neighbor, who shot "the extraction", and from Herbert. This is a perfect example of why the slogan "Don't drink and drive" was created. Scary stuff.)

Hi Lyn,
Can I put that beautiful sunset photo on our facebook page with photo cred to Herbert?
Thanks,

I hope Mr. Farrar was joking about Carefree being like a mini San Francisco and that people will come here just to ride the trolley. That is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. Not criticizing you or your report. Truly appreciate your efforts. Just think he's being a bit...unrealistic.

Is he smoking crack or just frigging delusional? Comparing Carefree to SF is quite a fantasy. I cannot for the life of me imagine anyone down here deciding to drive an hour to ride a trolley much less spending a weekend to ride a trolley. Especially when we have our own version of Ollie the Trolley. Our folly is of course known as light rail…
Secondly, visitors who come to the festivals buy all manner of items. Trolleys do not accommodate shoppers. Trolley users will limit purchases since they will be limited in space then having to haul their treasures from the trolley to their cars. Public transit no matter how cleverly it is named or promoted does not, never has, and never will generate foot traffic or money for that matter.
