Carefree is looking good! It is nice to see the generosity and involvement of Linda and Mr. “MEBOC” Putney. Both are looking good and doing good. By the way, if you wondered, when I referred to “MEBOC” Putney.....At the University of Iowa he was voted Mr. MEBOC ( most eligible bachelor on campus). He gets my vote AGAIN!

Hi Lyn,
Even though we miss our old friends, several of whom we've known since we moved here, we are also pleased with the service and the upbeat nature of the new postal employees. There will always be glitches when changes occur. The new employees are dealing with disgruntled people who have a hard time dealing with patience levels just about nil with so much negativity, not realizing that this has been on the stressful side for the employees as well. We find them trying to be very connected with the community; friendly and enthusiastic.
While it's been an adjustment, I also love being able to get our packages at any time now via the keys being put into our regular mail boxes in order to get them from the large boxes. It's a simple system and it works for us.

Hi Sweet Lyn,
We dined at Carefree Bistro yesterday for Brunch and it was exceptional, as always, under new Management. Your ears may have been tingling as your names came up and we all sang your praises in chorus J
LOVE the Carefree magic of the Ollie Trolley and new restaurant – Bacon. Will adore that, I’m sure. Hats off to Mike Farrar and all of you. Now I think we need a gondola ride that scoots along somewhere to showcase mountain views and folks can float from sip/bite to sip/bite through CF CC.
Love and Hugs,
Jane Ceasor
(Lyn's note: Eunice is now gone and it is wonderful to see George back. The new name, Lemon Drop, was already copyrighted by someone else, hence the name change back to Carefree Bistro. We love George's new team, and the food is fabulous.
Bacan is expecting to have their final inspection this week, after which they can open. Herbert and I stopped in to talk to the owner. It is a totally different look than Carefree Station, opened up and bright, which makes sense for a Caribbean fusion restaurant. We can't wait to try it.
Herbert took pictures and did a fun short video of some members of both Carefree's and Cave Creek's Council members with Ollie the Trolley at the sundial and at Stagecoach Village. Enjoy! https://vimeo.com/245648773)
What good lookin' fur kids! They are beautiful! Na-Nuk and I joined a large group of Huskies and their humans for a long hike out at the Spur Cross Ranch area. It was a very fun event and all had lots of fun. Afterwards, Na-Nuk and I went to the Sundial Café for brunch. Na-Nuk was an absolute angel ... he was just soo good! I was (as always!) very proud of him!

(Lyn's note: John has run the wolf rescue 501(c)3 organization in AZ for years. Na-Nuk is his high content wolf/husky boy. They were shown in a picture in CFT a couple of weeks ago, attending Trunk or Treat.)
Beautiful fur-kids!!!
