(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. Here are the links to this week's Pictures of the Week. Enjoy!)

Thank you Lyn. Women vets are a very underserved group and there is much need for healing. We are really proud to be able to offer this one

He brings new ideas and everyday specials to the Cafe's menu. He joined Kevin in this venture in December and they look forward to a long and successful partnership.

How fun!!! What a creative unique and fun way for the entire community to come together. Those of us living “down below” love to come up and visit your experiences. We don’t need weather changes to what time of year we are in. We have Ray for that! I wish our town “leadership” would to take a page from Carefree.
Keep up the wonderful work.

Hi Lyn,
I just had to email and tell you what a great job you all are doing at Carefree! We took our two year old grandson there this morning for breakfast. We walked around the area and the of course, played on the playground. It is a very beautiful community to have available. I know you must have put so much work into putting all of that together. I just wanted to let you know what a nice thing to have available for the community. Thank you for all the hard work you do❤❤❤
We watched Ray work for a while. What an amazing form of art! We also saw the elephant sculpture. Incredible! I had never seen this form of sculpting before.

Lyn, I am so sorry that I missed these awards. I hate to miss anything cultural~!~!
Do you happen to know any of these photographers personally?
Here is why I am asking….
The Cave Creek Library offers many great lectures and classes.
I am there multiple times every week for something intellectually stimulating and rewarding.
Recently, I asked the library to consider offering a class on Adobe Photoshop. David Court liked the idea but said he had to find someone to teach the classes. His program manager asked the tech firm “Tech4Life” if they had the skills but that is not their forte. I suggested the library find a photographer who also uses Adobe Photoshop as many photographers do.
Maybe your list of award winners includes someone who would like to do this????
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Micki Napp
(Lyn's note: If you are interested in teaching this class, please contact Destiney Voita at dvoita@dfla.org)
Thank you both of all your dedication for the contest and the calendars. Great video.

Lyn,
Thanks so much for the video! I enjoyed the experience the first time and again in the video. I've forwarded it to my kids in Los Angeles so they'll know what it was like.

Thanks for the kind words. I really do enjoy helping out with this. After you suggested watching the video, I watched it. You are right. Lots of smiles. As it should be. The group picture was exceptionally good.
Best regards,
John Crane
CONGRATS to Herb!

(Lyn's note: I got this from a neighbor and send it out to my personal email list. I was debating about including it in Carefree Truth, but the following email I got back from Mike Charveaux made the decision easy.)
Lyn, This is interesting, I had a friend that drowned at Bartlett lake because he fell asleep in his truck which was facing the lake and during the night he accidentally knocked the gear shift (manual) into neutral, and rolling into the lake and with the battery shorting out he couldn't unlock the doors/windows. Broke both of his ankles kicking at the windows trying to get out. I wonder if he had detachable head rests? I'm pretty sure he panicked and didn't think too clearly.
