Hi Lyn: Whoever agreed to have this screwball bike week has lost their mind.
Could not get home Sunday. Scottsdale road blocked off! Nuts! Used to be a great place to live. Time to leave! Hells Angels with a stand selling junk. Are you kidding me? Who voted for this nonsense anyway. A few bikes OK but this is crazy.
Your loving neighbor,
Ken Rich
(Lyn's note: Arizona Bike Week visitors are drawn to our area by the biker bars in Cave Creek. The Town of Cave Creek approves lane closes on Cave Creek Road for motorcycle parking in their commercial district to encourage these visitors who spend money at the bars, generating sales tax revenue.)
I hung around after the concert yesterday. There was a steady stream of folks admiring the tortoises.
Best regards,
John Crane
Hi! Love the story of the Tortellini Brothers. And excited for the "bonus" Frog sculpture.
Happy Easter : )
Catherine Zindell
The sand sculpture is super cool.
John Dyer
That is fantastic! I may have to take a trip up there to see this one.
Joe Arkeat
(Lyn's note: Response to pictures of the sand tortoises from a former neighbor who now lives in Mesa)
Don't make Carefree a year-long Christmas Town, please. I always think these Towns are sort of pathetic with no other attraction....LIKE a MOVIE HOUSE.
Lois Treacy
(Lyn's note: The article you saw in the Sonoran News was their April Fools edition, and that was one of their jokes.)
I have come to the conclusion that what we need in the gardens is a bocha ball court. If we had one and there was interest it would draw people to the Gardens. We could even get someone to sponsor a tournament.
Joseph Corpora
Mr. Jacobsen needs to get a life.
Kathy R.
(Lyn's note: Mr. Jacobsen complained about trees and signs blocking traffic lines of sight during Call to the Public at the March and April Council meetings.)
Mr. Jacobsen sounds like a PITA.
Louise S.
