Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. Here are the links to this week's Pictures of the Week. Enjoy!)

And here's this week's bonus rounds from Herbert. On June 6th, the sky suddenly looked like it was on fire. Gorgeous! The second link is his photos from this weekend. Lots of cute little critters.

I found certain aspects of the final budget meeting appalling. Anyone who has run a successful business knows that people make the organization. Team oriented, knowledgeable, and loyal employees are rare. Carefree is well run by a small, dedicated staff. Each member of the staff performs tasks above and beyond their job description. Every encounter I have had with members of the town staff has been positive. I wish I could say the same for the writer of the "alternative" press and his former partner who is now a Councilman. I was shocked by their opposition to merit raises for the hard working staff. Penny wise and dollar foolish comes to mind.

I love the addition of the new little library in the garden. What a pleasure and a treasure! Thank you!

Hi Lyn,
Loraine and I were chatting and I was telling her my husband - Chuck Hall - will be playing acoustic guitar music every Friday morning beginning tomorrow (9am-12Noon) at the Carefree Farmers Market at Lincoln Pavilion! Lorraine mentioned the emails that you send out for Carefree events and thought you'd want to know about this. The market was scheduled to close as usual for the summer months, but they and the Town of Carefree decided to move it under the shade and misters instead, so it will now be a year-round market!
Chuck's Facebook page (Chuck Hall Music) has all the details a couple of posts down, also his website is www.chuckhalllive.com where we have it listed on the "Dates" page...
Thanks in advance if you can help us get the word out about this! We have been customers of the Farmers Market since this past winter... we are very excited to be able to help them promote this wonderful event for Carefree :-)
Cheers!
