Entrada Changes name to become Carefree Mountain Estates

Carefree Mountain Estates has undergone a facelift, a new name and a new sign!!!! The old Entrada name has been retired after 25 years. When this area was first developed it was popular to use one word names for subdivisions. However recently the HOA Board decided to use the legal and original name, Carefree Mountain Estates. Jerry Dujanovic, an original owner, chaired the monument change committee. The Board decided to use the local Carefree businessman Howard Bertram, of Bertram Signs & Graphics, LLC, to facilitate the makeover with a wonderful outcome. Carefree Mayor Les Peterson attended the official gathering commemorating the change to the new Carefree Mountain Estates name.
This sounds like great fun! See you there!

I do not like the way the post office building is being held captive. For that reason alone, if I were still voting in Carefree, I would vote to re-elect Mayor Peterson. Yes, you may print.

Did you know one of the women in the pics with Mike Farrar (friend of Gene Orrico) is a disgraced law enforcement that was convicted of horrendous animal hoarding and abuse in Desert Hills just a few years ago? Nice group.

Lyn, awesome! Yowza. btw, it was rumored that the builder (Brown) wants to sue you for impeding his development of 14 home. Jaquie, my neighbor down the street, said she would gather sigs saying that is NOT true...just want you to know you have a neighborhood behind you!!!

Well then....something ain't right.....WHY isn't it recorded with the County? Ask him for a receipt for County property taxes that he paid. AND......quit claims are used a lot to avoid paying taxes..... And the deed may not be valid if it is not filed with the County.... He can post on FaceBook a copy of his proxy document but the County record trumps that.
And let me get this right.......so someone can own millions of dollars of assets and can still qualify for AHCCCS? And we taxpayers are paying for that?

After reading that Mike Farrar has AHCCCS, I was livid. I’m the caretaker of my adult disabled son, who every year must qualify and jump through hoops to retain his AHCCCS. His disability is lifelong. Every year I have to provide the following information with proof to DES to get my son’s health insurance.
1. Monthly income. ( The state knows this because they’re sent this information from the federal government ), I still must provide proof. My son’s monthly check is $800.00
2. Place of residence with monthly house payment, or rent. Copies of monthly statements. Any leases signed associated with the residence.
3. Copies of utilities and payment.
4. Proof of medical expenses if any.
5. List of all bank accounts and balances. ( My son’s disability denies him this option)
6. List of assets owned, properties, vehicles, etc. My son owns nothing.
As far as I’m concerned everyone that supports Mike Farrar after knowing this is a co-conspirator. Wonder who drove him to DES. I don’t think he brought the BMW, Range Rover or motorcycle; I have never seen those in the parking lot.

I see only 2 possible scenarios here. If Mike Farrar earns less than $16,753 per year and needs assistance from welfare, then he is incapable of keeping his own finances in order, in which case he has no business running for the position of Mayor. If he earns more than that, he is getting his health insurance through a welfare program fraudulently. Welfare programs are designed to help those who really need help, and is funded by we, the taxpayers. If you suspect that he is defrauding the system and you think he should be investigated, the whistleblower link, found on the AHCCCS website, is https://www.azahcccs.gov/Fraud/AboutOIG/

It saddens me to write that the country is not going in the right direction and I fear that the pendulum swing is not yet ready to make a change. Honesty and truthfulness seem to have disappeared. I spent nearly 40 years of my hospitality career with two well-known companies, one the Savoy Hotel Group (London) and the other Hilton Hotels Corporation. Twenty of those years was spent as a hotel general manager in six different cities. At each property, I had the responsibility to oversee the day-to-day operation. In addition, except for a few corporate programs, each hotel was responsible for its own advertising and marketing. All of my hotels included a food and beverage department, which included, restaurants, bars, banqueting, room service. Over those years, I could not hope to guess how much was spent in getting the word out to our existing, as well as potential guests and patrons.
Whether it was a billboard on the highway, an advertisement in the local newspaper, a room service menu or a wine list, an over-riding requirement was accuracy and truthfulness. We would never use the term "Choice Beef" unless it was. "Wild caught salmon" had to be what is was. Vintage dates for champagnes and wines had to be specific.
Before writing this letter, I tried to find out, through the Internet, whether there were any rules or regulations applicable to the truthfulness of campaign signs. I found nothing, in fact, there were more links about what to do with non-removed signs than I could find about content or accuracy.
Below, are three snapshots of signs taken within the last three weeks, along with a comment or two.

Question: Is this campaign poster, which states, "Mike Farrar Town of Carefree Mayor", along with the suggestion of voting for "Unity, Prosperity and Accountability" misleading?
The same question could be asked about this road-side sign. It clearly states, "Michael Edward Farrar Carefree Mayor". I guess that truth in advertising is no longer applicable during an election season!
At least we see honesty in Les Peterson's road-side sign. You already know that Les has my vote.
