(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. Here are the links to this week's Pictures of the Week. Enjoy!)

Lyn,
I have created some beautiful postcards out of pictures of Ray’s Sand Sculpture in the Pavilion. I’d like the local businesses to have them available to sell to visitors and guests as well so please get the word out! I’d like the local businesses to know that they can come to Town Hall and mix and match (4 versions) for starters, 25 complimentary postcards, to do whatever they would like with them, preferably sell them to visitors or frame them. It’s a memento to our days watching Ray carve in the Pavilion.
They are for sale in the Town Hall currently for $1 each or 4 for $3. The Chamber of Commerce will also be selling them!
Thank you!

Lyn,
Thank you and Herbie for an outstanding job on the forum and for this great video!! Did I miss Part 2 as I was trying to view it but the link has only Part 1.
Thanks again for all of your efforts in putting this together.
Thanks!
Gina Kaegi
(Lyn's note: Parts 1 & 2 of the forum were on the first video link. It was so long that I had to do it in 2 issues. After that, Herbert broke the rest of the forum into 2 shorter videos for parts 3 & 4.)
Thanks Lyn! You are most appreciated.

Thanks Lyn....I too thought the archways were frivolous but I have grown accustomed to them .......and ALMOST like them. Anyway they fit better than I thought once they were completed.
We live in a great town!!!

Love your newsletters, Lyn, and we (Martha and me, and our three pups) love Carefree! Thanks for keeping us informed.
Starbucks, at Bashas, will be a welcome addition to Carefree in my opinion; however, the Carefree Roastery, beside Alberto's, has awesome coffee and a very nice vibe to it. I've been there several times and I would encourage everyone to visit and try it out.
Kevin Glenn
(Lyn's note: I echo Kevin in encouraging everyone to try the Carefree Coffee Roastery. I am not a coffee drinker, but I frequently stop there to get their fabulous tropical green iced tea. And they are very nice people. They are on vacation from August 12th -September 4th, but stop by after they return. I think you will love it.)
Herbert's photos were fun, Lyn, and thanks so much for sending them. It was wonderful seeing photos of David Schwan, a super guy, exceptional Carefree leader, dedicated civic ambassador whom I miss and will continue to. I so appreciated his style and thoroughly enjoyed working with him.
It is truly wonderful that you and Herbert have assumed the leadership role of keeping residents and others like me, informed from an independent third party perspective. Your writing is intelligent and concise. Kudos and thanks to you both.
Pamela Slate
(Lyn's note: Pam recently contacted me asking to be added to the Carefree Truth email list. Pam is an organizer of the popular Carefree Desert Gardens Seminars.)
I want to move to CAREFREE!!! Yummmmmmy Stuff!

Wow. We are so blessed to have such a neat Community. Just love it.
Jane Ceasor
(Lyn's note: Yes, we have amazing non profits in the Foothills area.)
Just a few more thoughts on a movie theater etc. What about a small ice cream area in the movie theater (not that stuff that comes out of a nozzle) and maybe a hot dog stand, popcorn. Also, maybe kids can be bused in from other parts of the Valley.

Go with the Beep Beep collage. Maybe it will make someone smile and say Beep Beep themselves.
