The Carefree Farmers Market requested a 6 month extension of the Friday mornings street closure of Ho Hum Road behind the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion. The temporary street closure has worked well over the past 3 months, allowing the Farmers Market to expand, and reactions to it have been positive. There have been no complaints from the tenants in the 100 Easy Street building, and the tenants have said it has had more of a positive affect on their businesses. The Council unanimously voted to approve the request.

Steve Gold requested approval for a wholesale liquor license application for his new company, Moselle Wines, located at 7202 E. Cave Creek Road, Unit 5B. It would be wholesale to restaurants only, with no retail.
Mr. Gold said many know him from Brilliance LED, which manufactures high end landscape lighting. In 1976, he was stationed at an Air Force Base in Germany for 2 years and loved the area. He fell in love with German Moselle wines while there. 2 years ago, he applied for a federal import license which has now been granted. His next step is to wholesale German wine to the local market. He will be selling strictly wine, no liquor. The motion to approve was passed unanimously.
