I read your comments about downtown Carefree and you’re so right. We need to focus on improving what is there already. And we need to consider the importance of shade as the heat increases…trees are a critical addition to all Arizona communities.

Thanks for the reply and yes, greenery is important to us, as we continue to look for ways to improve areas around town as well as the desert gardens replenishment.

(Lyn's note: I couldn't agree more.  Greenery is vital to not only charm, but to the health of the environment, as long as it is drought resistant vegetation, water being a scarce resource that must also be conserved.  But there are so many beautiful desert plants that it shouldn't be a problem.)

I was able to read Vince's letter to the community and want to commend him. This council has a very thankless job and I routinely question why some of the locals seem to enjoy the name calling and personal attacks against you and your fellow  council members. I would only add that while your job is to hear the communities concerns, it is not your job to tolerate the personal attacks from the select few.
