Bob and Hoop:
Welcoming the four Medal of Honor Recipients to Carefree was a highlight for Carefree. Having such distinguished guests was very special Thank you and MC-LEF for bringing these gentlemen to our Town.
I hope the fundraising effort was a great success.
Should you wish to do it again next year, we would be honored.
Best Regards,
Mayor John Crane

John, thank you! It was a very special event, and it went off without a hitch. Barney spoke later of what a pleasure it was to have met you and the courtesy you (the Town of Carefree) showed. I shared your willingness to do it again next year with Hoop and we agree, it should become part of the syllabus. I walked into the American Legion yesterday afternoon to return the flags and was greeted by many welcome comments and HIGH-FIVE'S as well as reading many comments on Social Media about the Gathering Of Heroes (GOH) at the Veteran's Memorial. Well done! THX!
Michael, The four Medal Of Honor recipients, Bob, Barney, Sal and Brian all were exceptionally well received at CIVANA and said the service and accommodations were outstanding. This coming from four guys who travel to these types of events several times a year is especially nice to hear! We can't thank you and the entire staff at CIVANA enough for your hospitality.
John - Michael, everything you did showed the integrity and hospitality of the Town of Carefree!
Shiv, Watching the Patriot Guard Riders and the American Legion Riders escort the MOH limo down Scottsdale Rd to Handlebar-J was an experience I'll not soon forget.
Having Scottsdale PD on site to help with parking and traffic was just another detail not to be overlooked. One of the PD officers I met was a Marine! The event went flawlessly, and everyone had a great time. In fact, one of the Orthodontists at the Private Event on the patio, asked "Hoop" what was going on, it turned out he was an ARMY Ranger and he put a $100 bill in the donation bucket!
Sandy, thanks for your help and support. You are a ROCK STAR!
