NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
OF THE CAREFREE TOWN COUNCIL
LOCATION - 34250 N. 60TH STREET, BUILDING B, SCOTTSDALE, AZ 85266
WHEN: TUESDAY, APRIL 11, 2017
WHERE: FCF - HOLLAND COMMUNITY CENTER, QUAIL ROOM
TIME: 5:00 P.M.
Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Town Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Town Council will hold a meeting open to the public at the Foothills Community Foundation Holland Center Quail Room located at 34250 N. 60th Street, Building B, Scottsdale, Arizona 85266.
For any item listed on the agenda, the Council may vote to go into Executive Sessions for advice of counsel and/or to discuss records and information exempt by law or rule from public inspection, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statues §38-431.03.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

ITEM #1 Approval of the March 7, 2017 Town Council Meeting Minutes.
ITEM #2 Acceptance into the public record of the March, 2017 paid bills.
ITEM #3 Acceptance of the cash receipts and disbursements report for February, 2017.
ITEM #4 Approval of street closures for Thunderbird Artists’ 24th Annual Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival Friday, November 3 through Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with set-up beginning November 2nd at 5:15 p.m. and tear down on November 5th at 5:15 p.m. Road closures include Hum and Ho Hum Road, Easy Street, Sundial Circle and part of Sunshine Way as shown in the attached map. (Tabled from February 7, 2017 agenda.)
ITEM #5 Approval of an application for Special Event License for St. Gabriel the Archangel Roman Catholic Parish at Our Lady of Joy Roman Catholic Church, Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
ITEM #6 Approval of an Application for Liquor License by BKC Enterprises, LLC and Corrado La Macchia for a #12 (Restaurant) liquor license for the location at 100 Easy Street, Suite 2, Carefree, Arizona 85377.
REGULAR AGENDA:
ITEM #7 Call to the Public: Consideration of comments from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7(G) of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(H), those wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. The public may address the Council on matters not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter, direct staff to study the matter, reschedule the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, the Council may not discuss or take legal action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #9 Presentation of the Spirit of Carefree award to Carefree business owner, Steven R. Woods of Tech4Life, LLC.
ITEM #10 Review, discussion and possible action to approve new contracts with Rural Metro to reimburse the Town for the lease of space to EMT service at the Carefree Firehouse and for reimbursement for emergency response outside of the Town of Carefree service area to nonsubscribers within Rural-Metro’s service area.
ITEM #11 Town Council updates as follows:
1. Status of Council Chambers project
2. Budget Preparation Project
3. Status of Christmas festival
