Recently, John Traynor sent out a newsletter attacking Les Peterson and Vince D'Aliesio over the NW corner at Carefree Hwy & Tom Darlington Dr. This subject has been in play since 2016, to potentially place a casita type resort there, with minimal retail to support the resort activities. The surrounding neighbors had agreed to that use. Carefree needs tax dollars, either through business tax revenue or property taxes, or perhaps both. The shortfall not generated by business tax revenue will be made up for by a property tax, which no one wants. 

I do not expect Mr. Traynor or his band of Green Shirt cult followers to understand this, but I hope the majority of Carefree citizens will. Please review Mr. Traynor's work history, and his lack of qualifications to be giving any financial or planning advice.

It would be nice if you could publish summaries for other council candidates also since Vince has now been featured two times.

(Lyn's note: Vince is the only one who has sent anything, and he was featured in the last 2 issues because what he sent was too long for one, so had to be broken up into 2 parts.  No other council candidates have sent me anything. I don't even know any of the other current candidates but Steve Hatcher, who has been on there for a long time.  And frankly, I don't know that much about Steve, other than that he works in finance. )
