NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
OF THE CAREFREE TOWN COUNCIL

TIME: 5:00 P.M.
Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Town Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Town Council will hold a meeting open to the public. For any item listed on the agenda, the Council may vote to go into Executive Session for advice of counsel and/or to discuss records and information exempt by law or rule from public inspection, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statues §38-431.03.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

ITEM #2 Approval of the September 7, 2018 Special Town Council Meeting Minutes to Canvass the Election.
ITEM #3 Acceptance into the public record of the September, 2018 paid bills.
ITEM #4 Acceptance of the cash receipts and disbursements report for August, 2018.
ITEM #5 Approval of an Application for Special Event License for the Knights of Columbus located at our Lady of Joy Catholic Church – Parish Hall on October 20, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
ITEM #6 Approval of a Proclamation declaring November 1, 2018 to be Extra Mile Day.
ITEM #7 Approval of a Special Event application for Bella Donna & Cane “Trunk or Treat” on October 31, 2018 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with set up beginning at 4:00 p.m. Application includes a street closure limited to that part of Easy Street from Ho Hum Rd. to Wampum Way and Lucky Lane between Tom Darlington to Easy Street.
ITEM #8 Approval of a Fair/Festival License Application for Garrison Ellam and Elgin Distillery in conjunction with the Thunderbird Artist Wine and Art Festival for the following dates:
Friday, November 2, 2018 through Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, January 18, 2019 through Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
ITEM #9 Approval of a Fair/Festival License Application for Garrison Ellam and Village of Elgin Winery in conjunction with the Thunderbird Artist Wine and Art Festival for the following dates:

Friday, January 18, 2019 through Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
ITEM #10 Approval of a Farm Winery Fair/Festival License Application for Richard Edwin Skladzien and Del Rio Springs Vineyard, LLP in conjunction with the Thunderbird Artist Wine and Art Festival for the following dates:
Friday, November 2, 2018 through Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, January 18, 2019 through Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

ITEM #11 Approval of a Special Event application for the Soldier Ride for the Wounded Warrior program on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with street use as referenced on the map included with the application. No street closures.
REGULAR AGENDA:
ITEM #12 Call to the Public: Consideration of comments from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7(G) of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(H), those wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. The public may address the Council on matters not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism
made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter, direct staff to study the matter, reschedule the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, the Council may not discuss or take legal action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.
ITEM #13 Current Events.
ITEM #14 Presentation and discussion by Dr. Debbi Burdick, Superintendent of Cave Creek Unified School District 93, regarding the Cave Creek Unified School District and its benefits to the community.
ITEM #15 Review, discussion and possible approval of a Liquor License application for Elysian Desert Distillery located at 100 Easy Street, Suite C, in Carefree.
