Introducing Georgia 12 week old black lab/aussie cattle dog. Gracie is in love and keeps her on a tight rein. Here are some photos, I added some of Lily, our 12 week old kitten who spends her time stalking Georgia. I have caught them sound asleep snugging so it’s all for show. LOL

This is the best Enchanted Pumpkin Garden ever. Many new attractions - a live clown act, a puppet show, many more opportunities for the kids to hear a Witch read Halloween stories, a vastly expanded Kids Zone, and on and on. All included in the admission price. Love it. Thanks Herbie and Lyn.

Great rundown of this fabulous event and we are blessed to have it in our own backyard. I have watched the clown and he is terrific. Also, observing the crowd, the adults enjoy his performance as much as the kids.
Thank you to you and Herbie for the great video. It is amazing to watch the artist bring a simple or not so simple pumpkin to life. The exhibits are outstanding. See you at the Gardens. Thank you both for the outstanding work you always do.

These carvings are fabulous!!! I'm so amazed that people can create masterpieces like this. Unfortunately, my skills aren't artistic at all!! I wish they were. In one of the other groups of pictures, I noticed a Glassblowing studio was there. I could watch those artists forever - be a groupie, even!!

Hi Lyn,
I’ve been reading the discussion about crosswalks with interest. As someone with children who prefers to walk or ride a bike when possible, I have found the Cave Creek Road situation very concerning. So glad to hear that the town is working to make the road safer for everyone and I’m looking forward to seeing the solutions!
In the meantime, the town might consider some stop-gap measures to help make pedestrians more visible. There are a number of factors that contribute to the danger of crossing the road on foot, including two lanes in many places, sun blindness during certain times of the year, and an inconsistent understanding on the part of both drivers and pedestrians as to the right of way. One of the most efficient and effective solutions I have seen for these types of problems is to have canisters full of orange flags on either side of the crosswalk. When a pedestrian wishes to cross, they pull out a flag, signaling their intent. The flag can be held out in front to safely catch the attention of drivers who might otherwise miss the pedestrians. They can have reflective material on them for low-light situations. Once the pedestrian has crossed, he or she places the flag in the other canister. It helps accustom regular drivers to watch for pedestrians and helps pedestrians communicate with drivers that they are crossing the road. In my experience, pedestrians with flags are much more difficult to ignore than “pedestrian crossing” signs, or pedestrians who appear hesitant to cross.
Thanks so much for fostering these type of discussions!
