Carefree Truth

On Saturday evening, November 30th, Carefree held its annual Christmas kick-off celebration featuring the Desert Hills Presbyterian Handbells, Joyful Sounds, the Jubilate Conservatory of Music, and the Carefree Christmas Tree Lighting.

 
Before the switch was thrown to light up the tree, Mayor John Crane gave a short speech that was interactive with the audience, where he welcomed everyone to the event.  Mayor Crane also highlighted the other fun activities that were being presented in the Sanderson/Lincoln Pavilion a bit later that evening.

 
He noted that as the sun goes down the rest of the Carefree Desert Gardens will light up, as well as some of the businesses along Easy Street and the Christmas wreaths that are hung on the street light poles, making downtown Carefree "magical".  The Mayor wrapped it up by saying that he hoped to see everyone again next year at this event.
