What lovely and beautiful tributes, thank you so much for including me in the distribution of this - it literally brought tears to my eyes. Thank you again for your kind words, Lyn.
Lara
(Lyn's note: Arthur Gimson's daughter)
So sorry to hear about Arthur. I worked for Canyon Creek for many years and he was always a pleasure to work with.
The computer hacking happened to me last week, almost the same wording, sent to people I had not worked with for years. My IT guy says that Microsoft was hacked by China and it hit some computers. After he checked my computer, he said just ignore, there really was no way to stop it. In my case 3 e-mails were sent asking for a favor and then asking for money.
At this time Arthur's family should just respond to who they want but don't waste any time trying to figure out how it happened. Today is a week and I am no longer getting any strange e-mail.
Lyn, thanks for everything you do for the town. You may remember that I live in Desert Ridge, but since the communities that I work with are in Carefree and Cave Creek, I am very tuned in to the news of the towns.
Lois O'Neill
(Lyn's note: I got the obviously scam emails from both Lois' and Arthur's email addresses.)
Lyn,
I just wanted to let you know that the Desert Foothills Library recently held its Charity Golf Tournament and it was the most successful in the event’s 25 year history. It was a beautiful day for golf, the event was a sellout, and everyone enjoyed playing the wonderful course at Desert Forest Golf Club.
Thank you so much for getting the word out about the tournament and for being a continuing supporter of the Desert Foothills Library. A reminder to your readers - the library is now open!! Come in and visit again.
Again, many thanks,
Joanne Rebollo
Golf Tournament Chairman
Lyn, with all this building going on, how does the water company plan on supplying the new homes with the additional water demand???
Ted Dimon
Ted, it is my understanding that between the current CAP allocation, the CAP allocation that the Carefree Service Area (CSA) customers bring with them, and the generous aquifer (Carefree has several wells tapped into it), supplying water will not be a problem for new construction or for the CSA that will be added to the Carefree Water Company's customers.
Gary, is my understanding correct? Thanks.
Lyn
The new homes are covered by the CAP water allocation. Carefree’s water allocation has been budgeted for the community’s incremental growth. The Arizona Department of Water Resources reviews and issues what is called a Assured Water Supply Certificate when reviewing water demand of new residential development. The CSA’s allocation covers subdivided lots as per the IGA between communities. This is why there is approximately 380 acre feet coming with the CSA.
Gary Neiss
Many thanks for the information! Now I understand.
Ted
Hopefully, if there are above ground power lines the developer will place them underground.
Stay well---
Joe Intenzo
There were no overhead lines that required undergrounding on Stagecoach Pass. Internal to the development requires all utilities to be located below ground.
Thank you,
Stacey Bridge-Denzak
