"Thomas Jefferson said a democracy is dependent on an informed citizenry. I don't care whether it sounds corny or not. It's the truth." -Jim Lehrer
Perception management creates narratives and sells them to the public as facts. Major lies can be established as the truth by utilizing constant repetition. Nazi Minister Of Propaganda, Josef Goebbels, created The Big Lie technique: "If you keep repeating a lie often enough, people will begin to believe it." This is what John Traynor's Green Shirts cult members do. (I like to refer to them as the Brown Shirts.)

Bringing the remaining Carefree residents and businesses onto Carefree water was the right thing to do, just as closing the waste water treatment plant in the Boulders was the right thing to do. When the wastewater treatment plant in the Boulders was decommissioned and removed, and new larger lines were installed enhancing the system's flow capabilities into the Scottsdale system, all system users within Carefree shared in that cost equally, even though the Boulders households are approximately 15% of the total number of households within Carefree, and an estimated 90% of the benefits of the plant decommissioning benefited Boulders residents. When the remaining Carefree residents and businesses were brought onto Carefree water, it did not affect the price of water for the existing Carefree water customers. This has been explained again and again, but the lies persist.
The new water tank on the Boulders parcel that has always been designated for utilities is part of the water infrastructure. I would think we would glad to have more reserve water, especially now when we are at a high risk of fire. Fire hydrants were also neglected by Cave Creek, which was a serious safety issue in these summer fire seasons. Below is a photo of a fire hydrant on a property in Carefree that was then on Cave Creek water.

Below is a screen shot of a water sample and some photos of home water filters new and after use, as well as a segment from a required disclosure letter that was sent quarterly with Cave Creek water bills for over a year. The problems have since been corrected after the ADWQ forced the letters of disclosure to be mailed to the Cave Creek water customers. But these are some of the many issues causing those who were served by Cave Creek water to be so eager to be switched over to Carefree water.

The NE east corner of Carefree Highway and Cave Creek Road could not be developed because Cave Creek refused to issue a Will Serve water letter to the property owner, meaning there would be no water to that area. Sprouts was ready to go in there, but with no water supply it went to a spot in Cave Creek. Now that it is served by Carefree water, the NE corner can begin to develop. Developing the NE corner with commercial uses will benefit all Carefree residents through tax revenue. The same is true for the NW corner of Carefree Highway and Tom Darlington Drive that is now being disputed by the Green Shirt group, several of whom are candidates in the upcoming election for the three Carefree Town Council seats. I have been here for 30 years and Carefree has been developed carefully. Remember, without commercial tax revenue there will be a property tax.

Why does the town council put up with uncivilized behavior? Traynor is a loud mouth jerk.
