Hummingbird eggs

I took the photo, nestled in a rosebush :) Each egg is the size of a pinky fingernail. The entire nest was the diameter of a quarter. So adorable!

RE: Elena's lost dogs
Hi! I actually just got them back, thankfully. I got distracted by cleaning them up so I apologize for not letting you know immediately.
Elena 🍏
(Lyn's note: I can only send out so many emails, then I have to wait a while to send out the balance. This policy makes it harder for spammers. I have several "address lists" for Carefree Truth. I had sent out some but not all, when Elena let me know her dogs were back home.)
The following link contains pictures of the recent fire, taken from our front porch. Please clear your property of dry brush and globe chamomile to help prevent fires like this from occurring, and clear a 30' perimeter around all structures. Be aware of sparks and of hot equipment. This fire was started by an overheated weed whacker. It came close enough that a mandatory evacuation order was issued to our area.

From COINS:
INVESTMENT IN WATER ACQUISITION PLACED AT $1.47 MILLION
As some may recall, in 2005, Carefree and Cave Creek entered into an agreement enabling the Town of Cave Creek to condemn the privately held Cave Creek Water Company. A portion of that privately held water company service area included neighborhoods within the Town of Carefree and thus, requiring Carefree’s support to permit Cave Creek’s condemnation action to proceed. In exchange for Carefree’s support, the two communities contractually agreed that, at a future date, Carefree could acquire this portion of the water service system to ensure local accountability and representation to provide quality water resources residents expect. In January 2019, due to broad citizen concerns over lack of representation and management and maintenance issues, Carefree initiated the contractual acquisition process outlined in the agreement.
On Friday, May 15th in association with the contractual acquisition both the Towns of Carefree and Cave Creek exchanged appraisals from qualified professionals, experienced in evaluating utilities. This exchange of appraisals was the first step in determining the valuation of the portion of the Cave Creek water distribution system located within the Town of Carefree.
Carefree’s valuation of $1.47 million includes but is not limited to all fixed assets used to mainly serve these specific neighborhoods and explicitly defined in the agreement as the Carefree Service Area System. The specific assets being acquired, pursuant to the agreement, are defined as the water lines, meters, valves, fire hydrants and pumps located within the impacted neighborhoods. Pursuant to the agreement, the compensation Cave Creek will receive for Carefree’s acquisition of the Carefree Service Area System will be based upon Cave Creek’ original purchase price of $19.5 million. Factoring into the valuation is the proportional share of the specific assets being acquired and the associated depreciation of these assets which results in the $1.47 valuation. Please click on this link for the valuation report:
In July, an arbitration panel is set to consider the contractual commitments and associated evidence to ultimately define the actual acquisition costs. The arbitration panel is currently scheduled to consider the evidence beginning July 17th, with a determination of value within 60 days of the hearing.
Additional updates will be forthcoming.

In reference to Glenn and Gene, just remember who they backed and blocked the post office with for mayor last election cycle!

Wow more political intrigue from that cesspool known as Carefree. If you actually look at that photo of you and Herbie sitting at the bar, anyone can tell you weren’t staying there for a meal. Lyn, you had your shoulder purse slung across your chest, women don’t wear purses when they eat. LOL. I wish there had been a photo of the intrepid super sleuths taking that smoking gun of a photo.
