Caramel Apple: Cinnamon-Walnut Crisp, Honey, Vanilla Milk Jam, Apple Cider. A true treat.

Just an FYI-Keeler's Neighborhood Steakhouse, the popular new restaurant in Spanish Village where Carefree Station used to be, is now open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday, and it's wonderful. We have been going either there or to Venues (also wonderful) for Sunday brunch. My friend Donna Lombardi, who is working brunches at Keeler's, asked us to put it out there that they are doing weekend brunches, because a lot of their customers seem not to realize it. Give it a try!
http://keelerssteakhouse.com/menus/brunch-menu/ While you're there, take a look at all the neat little shops that have sprung up in Spanish Village. It's so nice to see that come back to life. It's such a lovely space.

Hi Lyn:
This may be old news by now, but Nanci Kelleher is still deserving of recognition. If you can include this in your next letter from readers, I'm sure she would appreciate it.
Just came back from the FCF Taste of the Foothills. They had about 400 guests, great food, music and a lively auction. It was a fun evening.
Best regards,
John Crane
The Town of Carefree, Joe Corpora, and I invite photographers to enter the 2019 Carefree Desert Gardens Photo Contest. The 4 acre Carefree Desert Gardens in downtown Carefree contains many spectacular and rare plants, and several unique features. All photos submitted must be taken within the Gardens. You can download the entry form on the Town of Carefree website, at www.carefree.org., pick them up at the Carefree UPS Store in the Basha's Center (Tom Darlington Dr.), or at the CVS photo counter (Carefree Hwy. & Cave Creek Rd.).
Photos may be taken at any time of the year, but if you don't have any yet, grab your camera, stroll the Gardens, take your best shots, and enter the contest. Your photo could be one of those used on a Carefree Postcard.

It is not like you to respond to Gene Orrico’s comments. In the past, you have always refuted allegations made against your e-newsletter. Can I assume that you haven’t yet found the time to remind him that he said it and when he said it?

(Lyn's note: Gene and I had lots of back and forth emails. But they were not for publication. If someone wants me to publish a negative one about Carefree Truth, I do that. We don't do dialogues in Carefree Truth, as I told Mike Farrar many years ago. My sole comment in CFT was that Gene ran with Mike Farrar in the recent Carefree election. I figured that said enough.)
I love the contrast looks like fire and ice, the snow pics then the red skies, too beautiful

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND THANK HERBIE FOR THE GREAT PICS----
