(Lyn's note) As of Tuesday, 9/5, Alberto has reopened after his regular summer vacation and is looking forward to seeing the returning faces of his customers. We were there for dinner on his opening night to welcome him back. Delicious food, as always, and great to see him!
Welcome back Lyn-You have been missed! I wish you well.
Barbara Blair
Thanks, Lyn, glad to see you back in the online saddle.
Deborah Carr
I am sooo glad you are back as a voice of fact and reason. Hugs to you and Herbie.
Mike Krahe
Thank you for sharing this.
Carefree resident,
Dorothea Smith

Lyn, I was shocked and horrified to read about the obnoxious group trying to take over the Carefree Council by crude behavior. Whatever happened to civil discourse? Perception Management, indeed. This sounds like it's right out of the Communist Manifesto playbook. They sound like the same kind of people who think by calling the homeless the "unhoused" they've done something to fix the problem a la "perception management" but haven't changed a single fact.
A Carefree friend of mine said these are the same people who tried to be elected to Council last year and failed; they stand outside the post office to make themselves known. They have, but not how they think they've "managed the perception" of themselves.
I know you're doing whatever you can to enlighten Carefree citizens of this threat to best government practices. Thank you for getting back on your feet and tackling the problem head on.
Shirley Arnold
My perception is that they are most likely Biden left wing loons.
Marc Menton
(Lyn's note: I don't know the political leanings of most of the miscreants working the Perception Management Ops around Carefree. I do know at least a couple of them lean to the far Right, but the far Right and the far Left scare me equally.)
Hi Lyn!
I am sorry to hear of your surgeries but hope the outcomes are what you hoped.
Carefree Truth is a valuable resource for our area and I’m hopeful that it will work into your life again.
Best wishes,
Andrea Dickey Genette
Rest, dear Lynn!
I appreciate your newsletter, (The Carefree Truth) and hope you take the time to take care of yourself.
Best,
Suzanne Johnson
How awful.
FYI John Crane gave an excellent speech on Volunteering last Saturday to 175 DAR women (our National President was in attendance). He wowed the group. Standing O Plus Mike Wold was given the DAR Medal of Honor for his work with veterans, first responders, and others with job-related trauma - another standing O. I did not send it to you because I thought you were out of the news business.

Lyn!!! You're back!!!
I've been out of touch WAY too long. Am delighted to know you're still fighting the fight.
Carolyn Folks
Lyn, it was wonderful to see you and Herbert back in our inbox, even if only for a brief visit on a critical topic.
You’re welcome to drop in again anytime.
Thank you both again for your excellent and important work.
Peter and Phyllis Strupp
It is so great to have you back, Lyn!!!!! Sounds like you’re in good hands! But we have missed you!!!
Bobbie Morgan
Welcome back Lyn! The LEFT (Let's Entirely Forget Truth) lost the Mayor and are now going to do what they did with Trump, and that is to (falsely) attack. Where do these people get SO much time? Just like small children, they will keep pushing the boundaries until someone stops them, or not...
Semper Fi to our veterans...

Thank you Lyn and welcome back. Re: back, hope your spine surgery was successful and you have no pain. You have provided a real service with your definition and example below,. Thank you.I think this kind of behavior goes back to Goebbels in WWII. But it is becoming more widely practiced now and we don’t know how to fight it.
Gail Thiele
Thank you for this, Lyn. Very well said! Hope you're feeling better.

Lyn,
It is so good of you to spread the word. Excellent article and all the other news media tidbits, too. I thought you would be interested that I was alerted to this by a friend who now lives out of state. She is appalled at this senseless, stupid behavior.
I just wanted you to know how important your help to the community is.
…a fan
Great to have you back, Lyn. Continued prayers for you and the wonderful Herbie.
Mike Wold
Good morning Lyn,First, it is good to hear that you are doing well. With regards to Town Council Decorum, I agree that differences of opinion can be expressed without resorting to personal insults, unruly disruption and the like. That being said, we have individuals at the highest level in Government who have elevated such behavior as normal and as a strategy for personal and political gain so it should be no surprise that a good part of the population has embraced such behavior as a substitute for critical reasoning.
Concerning the topic of “perception management”, such tends to be either accepted or rejected depending on the individuals underlying beliefs which may or may not correspond to the facts related to the issue or issues at hand.
My best to a continued recovery.
